Requirements

  • Prerequisites: No programming knowledge is assumed unless you choose Package B: Without Python starting July 13.

  • Ages: 12-14, 15-18

    • Age 11 is considered for advanced students with algebra and computer proficiency (permission required).

  • Hardware/Software: Computer with internet connection good enough for Zoom.

Dates

  • Data Science - The AI Journey consists of the following packages for 2026: all meet on Zoom, 9:00am-12:30pm PT, weekdays.

    • Full AI Package, July 6-31, all 4 weeks, 70 hours.

      • We recommend this option for most students - you get everything!

    • Python + Data Science Package: July 6-24, first 3 weeks, 52.5 total hours.

      • Great option for beginners - excludes final week on neural nets.

    • Data Science + AI Package: July 13-31, last 3 weeks, 52.5 total hours.

      • Great option for advanced Python students - excludes first week on Python.

      • Assumes knowledge of Python at the level of accessing libraries and writing your own functions.

Class

  • All interactive lectures will be taught live online by program director Corey Wade with senior instructors supporting.

  • Cohorts will be led by data science instructors with support staff providing 1-1 help as needed.

  • Information on coding background will be collected via survey as part of the enrollment process to place students in the right cohort.
